Kristen Katulis is a seasoned strategist and risk management expert with over 25 years of experience translating complex economic and political trends into actionable insights for senior leaders. Most recently, as Chief of Analysis at the CIA’s China Mission Center, Kristen led a multidisciplinary team of hundreds in delivering high-impact intelligence on China’s economic, military, and foreign policy strategies. Her work directly informed US policy and shaped decisions at the highest levels of government.


Throughout her career, Kristen has advised the White House, Cabinet officials, and military leaders on navigating global risks and opportunities. She has a proven track record of managing high-stakes analytic efforts, aligning priorities with shifting global dynamics, and delivering data-driven recommendations that produce results. Her expertise spans geopolitical analysis, risk mitigation, strategic planning, and enhancing the quality of decision-making processes.


Kristen’s leadership experience includes serving as Senior Advisor to the Director of Intelligence at the National Counterterrorism Center and as Managing Editor of the President’s Daily Brief, where she ensured the delivery of timely, accurate intelligence to the nation’s top decision-makers. Kristen’s ability to anticipate and manage global risks makes her a trusted advisor for organizations navigating today’s complex international landscape.


Before her government service, Kristen worked as a strategy and communications consultant for high-tech companies, equipping her with a unique perspective on the intersection of public and private sector challenges. She understands how to bridge the gap between government and industry, helping clients translate complex global trends into competitive advantages.


Kristen holds an MPA from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs and a BA in Economics from Bates College. She is passionate about helping organizations anticipate global challenges, seize opportunities, and thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
